Penn Community Bank Day of Service

Emerging from the pandemic, Penn Community Bank set out to return to tradition of meaningful community involvement and team member volunteering in a big way. In line with the organization's culture and brand, Penn Community Bank proudly planned and executed first ever all-team member Day of Service.

This event involved the entire organization – 300+ team members, from tellers to board members - in a physical and public expression of its mission and values. Participants were assigned to one of 15 project sites, each connected with partner nonprofits located in the bank's footprint, and completed projects of need ranging from park clean ups to packing meals for senior citizens. Additionally, the Penn Community Bank Foundation provided financial contributions to each participating organization totaling ,000.

As planned, this impactful and successful event achieved its three key objectives: • Providing team members the opportunity to live out the bank's mission-based brand through a professionally planned and executed corporate event. • Publicly expressing the bank's culture to prospects, customers, and the community at large. • Improving the communities we serve and deepening the bank's commitment to its nonprofit partners in a time of need.

The first-of-its kind was so well received by communities and team members, Penn Community Bank has committed to making its Day of Service an annual event in addition to its numerous other volunteer and charitable involvements
