ABA: The American Bankers Association

Open Compliance Committee

Any ABA member with an interest in compliance issues may be a member of ABA's Open Compliance Committee.

The group holds regular conference calls to help compliance professionals learn about new regulatory initiatives, to share common compliance concerns, and to seek input from their peers on compliance challenges. The calls also provide interested members with opportunities to become involved with other ABA compliance initiatives, including joining ABA working groups that support comment letter preparation and other advocacy efforts or support other ABA solutions including toolboxes and training materials.

Calls are held on the third Monday of every month at 2:00 pm ET.

Staff Contact: Teshale Smith

ABA Antitrust Policy Reminder: It is the policy of the American Bankers Association to comply fully with all antitrust laws. Certain discussions should be considered off-limits, including those that go to pricing or controlling markets. Care should be exercised by both ABA staff and bankers, as antitrust liability is often established through circumstantial evidence. Please be conscious of the ABA antitrust policy and assist us in maintaining good corporate governance practices.
