Taxation Administrative Committee

The mission of the Taxation Administrative Committee is to provide expertise and hands-on-experience on bank taxation to the Government Relations Council. In committee meetings the bankers identify and prioritize key tax issues based on legislative proposals, audit issues and banking business developments. The committee meets two times each year and communicates throughout the rest of the year by mail and conference calls as needed. The chairman of the committee serves on the Government Relations Council and may be asked to testify on behalf of ABA before Congress or the IRS. Membership on this committee is through appointment by the Chair.
