Internship Opportunities at ABA

Spend Your Summer With ABA

Are you an undergraduate or graduate student looking to learn about careers in a trade association or the financial services industry? Join ABA for 10 weeks in the summer and be part of our team of experts that are the "go to" sources for bankers, policymakers, and the media to gain insights about the industry and its role in driving America's economy.

Working at ABA, you'll tackle initiatives such as policy, advocacy, communications, member engagement and many more. You'll also participate in training and development opportunities and help advance the banking industry—all while boosting your resume.

Pays $25.00 per hour (full-time, 37.5 hours/week), unless it is part of a formal university or college internship program, which is unpaid.

Application Requirements

To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years of age or older on or before the first day of the internship program.
  • Be an undergraduate (junior or senior) or graduate student.
  • Student is defined as an individual who is enrolled in a degree-seeking program in an accredited college or university.
  • The student will be at least a rising junior by the time the internship begins and will be continuing their education as an undergrad or graduate student immediately following completion of the internship.
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

A transcript and resume must be included with application.

General Dates

The Summer 2023 program application period will be open until December 16, 2022.

  • February 21, 2023: Onsite Interviews at ABA
  • June 5, 2023: Internship Begins
  • August 11, 2023: Internship Ends
