  • Asset Size: Medium

Ridgewood Savings Bank's First-Time Homebuyer Workshops are designed to educate potential homebuyers about the mortgage process. The workshops include the mortgage products that are available, pre-inspection of homes and the process of buying a home from start to finish. In attendance are a number of experts that the potential homebuyers can connect with regarding questions they may have. Guest speakers include a licensed architect/engineer, a real estate attorney, and a mortgage consultant. In 2021, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Ridgewood Savings Bank continued to host the First Time Home Buyers Workshops virtually and also worked with nonprofits to ensure individuals that were looking to purchase a home or find out more about the process were not left in the dark because in person meetings were not available. Since the virtual workshops were very well received, Ridgewood continues to offer them virtually and has now included to the guest speaker line up consultants from various nonprofits to help individuals with the grant programs available to individuals that qualify.
