< Date >

Dear < supervisor's name >,

I am requesting approval to attend the ABA (Foundational/Intermediate/Advanced) Trust School in Atlanta, the week of September 22, 2019.

Having researched trust education opportunities, the ABA Trust Schools provide the premier educational experience in our industry. By completing the School, I earn the ABA (Foundational/Intermediate/Advanced) Trust Certificate, and this puts me on the path to prepare to sit for the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) professional designation.

The instructors at the School are all top-tier practitioners in their specialty, and come from large, small and community banks, law firms, associations, private consultancies and Ivy League institutions. Each of the three schools includes account administration, fiduciary and trust activities, fiduciary la, tax, and estate planning and investment management. To ensure the content remains relevant and up to date, the faculty, in conjunction with the ABA in-house subject matter experts, asses the content each year.

This year, the ABA has made it possible to earn the three levels of Trust Certificates either by attending a School, or by studying content online. Attending the School provides a richer learning experience, as students learn from experiences as part of class conversation, plus have plenty of interaction with the faculty, both inside and outside of formal class settings. I understand that building a professional network of contacts in our industry is an invaluable part of the School experience.

I have included an outline of the costs below. Please let me know if there is additional information I can provide.

< The numbers in brackets below will need to be adjusted to reflect the current pricing. All registration fees are listed on the Trust School website. The travel costs vary as well and should be changed to reflect your costs.

Transportation: <$xxxx>
Hotel: <$xxxx>
