Women of Stonier | ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking

RegisterView Program

The first ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking graduating class in 1935 had 228 men and no women. Today, women make up approximately half of the workforce within the financial services industry. We want our Stonier classrooms to reflect that.

Stonier is a powerful stepping-stone and educational tool for women in financial services. Studies show that when women lead, teams are more collaborative, teammates are treated with heart and women empower other women within their organizations.

Scuderi

Stephanie Scuderi, Class of 2020
Market President, Centennial Bank

"My Stonier capstone project was integral to a major technology investment at my bank, helping us accommodate uncontrollable market dynamics greatly exaggerated by COVID-19. It gave my bank a substantial point of differentiation from our competition."

Pierson

Christine Pierson, Class of 2012

"Overall, Stonier is a spectacular differentiator with insights and tools for high-impact leadership. It equipped me with the necessary technical requisites to lead a large banking division and immediate access to a network of who’s who in banking."

Dauer

Dawn Dauer, Class of 2006
Chief Banking Officer, The Bank of Missouri

"I often refer to Stonier as the pinnacle of my education when people ask about my career path. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to receive an education that was both valuable and meaningful to me."

Mock

Jada Grandy-Mock, Class of 2018
Chief Corporate Community Economic Development Officer, Fifth Third Bank

"Stonier elevated my banking industry knowledge and deepened my understanding of bank operations, the CAMELS rating system, mergers and acquisitions and industry leadership—enabling me to be more well-rounded."

Neilsen

Kelli Nielsen, Class of 2016
EVP, Retail Banking and Marketing, 1st Security Bank of Washington

"I leaned in and decided to challenge myself at Stonier. I am so glad I did, because it has been invaluable in my career. I learned how a bank operates from the top down and the networking is unparalleled."

Cerven

Leane English Cerven, Class of 2014
EVP, Chief Risk Officer, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Peoples Bank – A Finward Company

"After Stonier, I now have the confidence to take on more challenging duties—like managerial and executive assignments in human resources, risk management and strategic planning."
