Dear <supervisor’s name>,
I am requesting approval to attend the ABA Risk and Compliance Conference, to be held June 11-14, 2024, at the Seattle Convention Center, Seattle, Washington.
Having researched a range of educational offerings in the compliance/risk space, I believe this event provides the kind of learning experience that can be used immediately at our bank. The ABA’s largest, oldest, and most prestigious risk and compliance event assembles top national leaders who provide bank-centric leading practices by which you can benchmark your own bank practices.
Not only are the speakers top-tier practitioners, but they also represent different aspects of our industry, including large and smaller institutions, government, law firms and consultancies. This cohort of speakers will lead highly relevant sessions on topics, including the latest policies straight from top government officials, leading practices in risk assessment and mitigation as well as regulatory hot buttons.
Attending the conference in person offers a rich development environment that will allow me to participate in peer conversations that allow me to trade ideas and expertise. Not only that, building a professional network of contacts provides me with year-round resources to tap when problems emerge.I have included an outline of the costs below. Please let me know if there is additional information I can provide.
Here is the breakdown of costs:
In-person registration fee: $1,995 for ABA Certification Holders/$2,195 ABA Member/$2,495 ABA Non-member

The conference provides: Breakfast is provided Tuesday – Friday; Lunch is provided Tuesday-Thursday. Small cocktail receptions are offered on Tuesday and Wednesday, coffee breaks are offered daily.
