Since January 2022, Norhtpointe Bank employees have taught the Junior Achievement curriculum in 108 local classrooms. Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization that inspires and prepares young people for success. The curriculum focuses on financial literacy, careers, and entrepreneurship. Volunteers typically visit classrooms once a week for five weeks to teach these engaging lessons to students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th Grade.

In addition to teaching Junior Achievement, Northpointe's Community Outreach Specialist, Jeni Groen, visits Family Promise to facilitate individual budgeting sessions. Family Promise is a local nonprofit striving to end the cycle of homelessness. Through emergency housing, stabilization services, and housing opportunities, this organization helps families build a stronger future. So far, Jeni has met with eight different famlies to help them develop a personalized budget as they are getting back on their feet in new jobs. She also reviews their credit reports, and helps create a plan for paying off debt and filing disputes.
