At Amegy Bank, "Giving Back Is One of Our Highest Priorities." Amegy's goal is to contribute to the communities we serve by targeting our charitable giving and volunteerism toward nonprofits that produce positive results locally. We make a commitment to the people of Texas to be a leader in Texas banking, and we believe this also means committing to be a leading corporate citizen. Each year, Amegy donates more than $1 million as part of its mission to support the communities where we do business.

Through our volunteer program, Amegy Cares, employees are given the opportunity to volunteer for causes that are important to them. This program allows full-time employees eight hours and part-time employees four hours of paid volunteer time per quarter, where they can volunteer during business hours without having to use vacation time.

Additionally, Amegy organizes an internal bank wide United Way campaign, encouraging employee participation through fundraising activities which produce outstanding results each year. In 2023, employees collectively raised $875,003 for the United Way campaign and Amegy Bank's Scott McLean was designated "Volunteer of the Century" for his outstanding service.

Through this annual campaign, Amegy employees have raised more than $10 million for the community since 1990. The funds raised allow United Way to create opportunities for every person in the community to thrive by leading, serving, influencing, and convening the nonprofit services sector to deliver quality services with exceptional outcomes. In 2022, United Way connected two million people to services that improved their lives.
