It is a primary mission of The First Bancshares, Inc., and its subsidiary bank, The First ('The First' or 'Bank'), to promote community development in the communities we serve through the provision of financial products and services to residents and to businesses located there, and to provide development services in conjunction with our provision of financial products and services. The First became a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in September of 2010 and over the past 12 years, have made an investment of over in community development.
