< Date >

Dear <supervisor’s name>,

I am requesting approval to attend the virtual ABA AML and Fraud School, the weeks of August 13 – August 22. The school will occur for a total of 6 partial days.

Having researched AML and fraud education opportunities, the ABA AML and Fraud School provides a unique educational experience for AML and Fraud professionals as it takes a deep dive into the synergies between AML and Fraud. In addition to gaining a comprehensive understanding, by completing the curriculum, I am also on the path to sit for the Certified AML and Fraud (CAFP) professional designation.

The instructors are all top-tier practitioners in their specialty and come from large and small community banks, private consultancies and law enforcement. The school will focus on AML & Fraud programs, AML & Fraud typologies, research & investigation, and reporting & requirements.

Attending the school provides a rich learning experience, as students learn from experiences as part of class conversation, plus have plenty of interaction with the faculty. I understand that building a professional network of contacts in our industry is an invaluable part of the school experience.

I have included an outline of the costs below. Please let me know if there is additional information I can provide.

Here is the breakdown of costs:

School Fee: $2595 ABA member/$3595 ABA Non-member

Time necessary to complete this school will be:

  • Approximately 2 hours for pre-course work
  • Approximately 35 hours of class work. Sessions are virtual “live”

As you can tell, I am extremely enthusiastic about this opportunity and the benefits that both I and <insert bank name> will realize as a result of my attendance. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

<your name here>
