2023 Community Committment Awards Submission

At Union Bank, we care about our customers, each other, and our community. We created our Community Involvement Program as a way to empower our employees to be citywide leaders and inspire others to think how any contribution of time, talent or money can change lives, while also ingraining the importance of community into our company culture.

Our program is made up of seven activities each year that are selected and managed by a committee of peers. The activities consist of three volunteer opportunities, two supply item drives, one fundraiser, and a blood drive. For participating in the program, employees can earn two paid days off work and a $100 donation made to the nonprofit of their choice. They are also able to use time during their workday to complete these activities. In addition to the seven activities, we offer annual Board of Directors Education and Matching events and encourage employees to be involved in the community outside of our program.
