The Banking Academy connects the banking industry directly with UTEP business students through professional memberships, industry-developed credentials, employer-led programming, site visits, mentorship, and applied case competitions. Academic pathways in Banking and Financial Institutions link coursework to sustained industry engagement, and programming is open to students across majors and minors.

For bank members, the Academy solves a recurring problem: building a reliable, pre-qualified talent pipeline. Members get direct access to students who have completed industry-relevant coursework, participated in employer-led sessions, and engaged in applied competition work — reducing the time and cost typically spent identifying and training entry-level banking talent.
