Wayne A. Abernathy is ABA’s Executive Vice President for Financial Institutions Policy and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to working at ABA, Mr. Abernathy was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Institutions, and before that worked for two decades on the staff of the U.S. Senate, including service as Staff Director of the Senate Banking Committee.
