#FinancialLiteracyMonth

A National ABA Foundation Campaign

This April, the ABA Foundation is celebrating National Financial Literacy Month to recognize successes, and offer resources, to promote financial literacy across our communities.

We’re calling on banks of all sizes to join us in this month-long effort to shine a light on the power of financial literacy and inspire action to build thriving, resilient and equitable communities.

Throughout the month, get energized with weekly themes and content your bank can use to increase awareness, exchange ideas, amplify success stories and take action.

Participation is easy and free!

Weekly Themes for Social Media:

Members can access social posts for each week in the social media toolkit.

  • Amplify statistics about why financial literacy is a critical tool for promoting financial health, and the role the banking industry plays.
  • Spotlight the role financial literacy plays in promoting economic opportunity and mobility, particularly in underserved and unbanked communities (e.g. female financial empowerment, communities of color, native communities and more).
  • Highlight why addressing senior financial exploitation must be a national priority, and how banks like yours are taking action.
  • Elevate the importance of educating teens and young adults on the skills they need to develop a strong financial future. This week will also include opportunities to support Teach Children to Save Day on April 27.
