Laena Fallon

Chief of Staff

As chief of staff at ABA, Laena works with the president and CEO and senior staff to coordinate the association's operations and policies. Working across the organization, Laena leads efforts to encourage collaboration, resolve challenges, and prioritize long-term strategic initiatives to promote seamless operations. She helps to foster a culture of excellence within ABA, ensuring that the organization remains focused on serving our members and the broader banking industry.

Before assuming her current position, Laena served as senior advisor to the CEO, where she had oversight responsibilities across the organization, with a particular focus on communications, political engagement and policy. Prior to joining ABA in 2016, she was vice president of communications at the Financial Services Forum, a non-partisan banking trade organization specializing in financial and economic policy.

Laena's career in public service and policy began on Capitol Hill, where she spent eight years working in both House leadership and the Senate. During this time, she served as press secretary and communications director for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Sen. Judd Gregg.

Laena is a graduate of Saint Anselm College and is a Certified Chief of Staff (Level One) with the Chief of Staff Association in conjunction with Harvard Business School.
