TRID 2018 – Understanding the Updates

Aired: Tuesday, February 6, 2018

TRID Rules are voluminous, and subject to continuous technical corrections and lingering confusion. This recording provides updates on compliance "hot spots" and offers expert views on potential solutions, and what the CFPB's leadership change means for these important rules.

Gain a better understanding of the key issues at each phase of the TRID process—from application, disclosure, closing and through to post-closing—to assure your operations are compliant with the latest guidance and interpretations. Other issues covered include fee tolerances, itemization in LE and CD, timing requirements and cure provisions.

Our expert speakers will offer explanations and the latest interpretations on most important TRID issues including:

  • Has the definition of what is an "application" evolved, and what is the impact on HMDA and other rules?
  • What are the difficulties in complying with the fee tolerance provisions of the rules?
  • How do we properly cure mistakes in our files?
  • Will there be a solution to the "Black Hole" problem?
  • Will the change in leadership affect CFPB examinations and investigations? Will states become more active? Will class actions spike?
