Anil Hinduja
Executive Vice President and Chief Enterprise Risk Officer
The Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation

Anil Hinduja joined Freddie Mac as Executive Vice President and Chief Enterprise Risk Officer in July 2015. In this role, he is responsible for providing the overall leadership and direction for the company’s ERM division and for leading an integrated risk management framework for all aspects of risk across the entire company. He joined Freddie Mac from Barclays PLC, where he served in increasingly broader risk management roles beginning in 2009, including Chief Risk Officer for Barclays Africa Group Limited, Group Credit Director for Retail Credit Risk, and Chief Risk Officer for Barclays’ retail bank in the U.K.

Prior to joining Barclays, Mr. Hinduja spent 19 years at Citigroup in diverse roles with increasing responsibility across finance, operations, sales and distribution, business and risk management in global consumer businesses. In risk, he was Director for Global Consumer Credit Risk and then Chief Risk Officer for the Consumer Lending Group, where he was responsible for managing risk in the mortgage, auto and student loan businesses. His tenure at Citigroup culminated in his term as President and CEO of Citi Home Equity.

Hinduja holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College in India and an M.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.


Jason Painley, CPA, CRMA
Chief Risk Officer, Senior Vice President
Park National Corporation

Jason Painley, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), joined Park National Corporation (PRK) in 2011. As the Chief Risk Officer, Jason chairs the Management Risk Committee and assists the Board Risk Committee in providing oversight to the organization’s enterprise risk management activities. Jason also coordinates PRK’s capital stress testing process and participates in cross-functional initiatives involving regulation and corporate governance.

Prior to joining PRK, Jason worked in financial institution supervision and regulation at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. In that capacity, Jason chaired the Federal Reserve System’s Loan Accounting Workgroup and contributed to several System-wide initiatives, including the 2010 capital stress test review. Additionally, Jason participated in examinations of financial institutions.

Jason is the President and Board Chairman for a non-profit organization which educates families on child safety and parenting skills. He serves on the board for the Central Ohio Chapter of the Risk Management Association and is an active member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jason earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University, an MBA from John Carroll University, and has a Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).


Joe Mattey
Vice President of Enterprise Risk Analytics, Chief Risk Office
USAA

Joe Mattey has extensive experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and quantitative analysis of financial institutions. Currently, Joe is Vice President of Enterprise Risk Analytics in the Chief Risk Office at USAA where he leads the Enterprise Model Risk Management program and helped build the Enterprise Stress Testing program.

Joe joined USAA from the U.S. Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Financial Analysis Division where he analyzed laws and fiscal implications stemming from the 2008-09 financial crisis. He was an SVP, Sr. Credit Officer at JPMorgan Chase after the WaMu acquisition and served thirteen years in the Federal Reserve System including as a Research Officer in the Banking/Finance group of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank.


Gwen Muse-Evans
President and CEO
GME Enterprises

Gwen Muse-Evans is the President and CEO of GME Enterprises, a management consulting firm founded in 2014. Ms. Muse-Evans has a 30-year tenure in the financial services industry, and she has worked in many high-profile executive-level leadership positions and successfully implemented risk management platforms to drive effective management of significant risks at several Fortune 50 companies. Throughout her career, she has served as a valued consulting resource to resolve complex issues associated with business and market challenges. Gwen has extensive knowledge of the housing finance industry, subject matter expertise in the discipline of Enterprise Risk Management, and extensive experience implementing risk management programs including corporate and board governance programs.

Gwen received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University, and her MBA from Rutgers University, and is a certified Project Management Professional.


John W. Watkins
Senior Vice President
Enterprise Consumer Credit Risk Enterprise Risk Officer
Enterprise Risk Management Division

John Watkins was named Enterprise Consumer Credit Risk Enterprise Risk Officer in January 2015. In this capacity, he manages risks as the "second line of defense" for the company’s Single-Family business including credit, counterparty, quality assurance, servicing, pricing, securitization and risk transfer and loan loss reserves. John joined Freddie Mac in August, 2012 as the Chief Credit Risk Officer – Single-Family where he was responsible for establishing, driving and implementing Freddie Mac’s mortgage credit policies related to loan origination, collateral, insurance and servicing.

Prior to joining Freddie Mac, John served as Senior Vice President Risk Policy and Portfolio Manager, Consumer Businesses at JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPMC). He joined JPMC in 2005 as Chief Credit Risk Officer, Consumer Businesses. His roles at JPMC included the management of credit policies, procedures, modeling, portfolio management and analytics, and fair lending compliance for JPMC’s consumer businesses.

Previously, John held a variety of senior risk-management and capital markets positions across multiple asset classes with Citigroup, its predecessor Citicorp and at Capital Markets Assurance Corporation (CapMAC). He graduated from Skidmore College with a B.S. in Business Administration and also holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut.


Lin Lu

Enterprise Risk Management Division

As the Chief Risk Officer of Information and Technology Risk, Lin is responsible for providing oversight of Information, Technology and Business Resiliency risk associated with all operating activities of Freddie Mac. Lin and her team set the enterprise direction and monitor risk posture by establishing policies and standards, defining and maintaining risk frameworks, monitoring and reporting aggregated risk and risk treatments, performing risk reviews and evaluations enterprise-wide.

Previously, Lin was a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank and Chief Information Security Officer for Americas. Lin was responsible for establishing and maintaining Deutsche Bank’s enterprise vision, strategy and program in Americas to ensure information assets were adequately protected and security risk managed. While at Deutsche Bank, Lin also held a number of regional and global leadership positions in Europe and Americas, serving as global head of third party risk, Chief Technology Officer for offshore cluster, global head of regulatory portfolio, and Chief Operating Officer for Enterprise Services Americas. Earlier in her career, Lin worked in strategy and investments roles at Deloitte Consulting, British Petroleum and China Construction Bank.

A Certified Information Security Service Professional, Lin has been an active practitioner in the technology, risk and security fields. Lin received a BS in Economics from Inner Mongolia University, and a MBA from the London Business School.


Gareth Davies
Managing Director
Global O&T CBORC

Gareth is the CBORC leader for GCB’s O&T team. In this capacity he manages the Risk and Control function reporting into Anil Wadhwani and Gavin Michael. Gareth is responsible for ensuring the risks carried by the O&T functions are understood, measured and managed and where appropriate remediation is carried out. While he and his team work closely with the respective CIO’s and Operations leaders he also engages in critical partnerships with other CBORC colleagues in the lines of business to ensure there is a good end-to-end view of GCB’s control environment. Gareth has a strong working relationship with other Control Leaders in the Second Line of Defense including Risk, Compliance and Fraud, as well as the Third Line Internal Audit function.

Gareth has 30 years of risk management experience. After being sponsored in University by HSBC he joined them out of college and after 2 years in London joined the newly formed GE Capital Europe. He spent 20 years working with GE Capital working in assignments globally including London, Danbury CT, Minneapolis MN, Brussels, and Stamford CT where his last role was as Chief Risk Officer for GE Asset Management. After 2 years as the Head of Operational Risk at Freddie Mac, he spent 5 years with Barclays Bank in London as the Global Head of Risk and Control for the Retail Bank and then as Group Head of Information Risk. After a year with Citizens Bank as the EVP Operational Risk Gareth joined Citi in March, 2014 as the CBORC leader for Mortgage in St Louis, MO helping to guide the closure of the Consent Order. He subsequently added CBORC responsibility for Retail Bank before taking his current role in October, 2016.

Gareth is a native of Wales and holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Banking and Finance from Loughborough University, England.​
