RegisterView Program

What is the Meetup program?

Join us in Tampa for the 2021 Annual Convention at a low rate when you take advantage of our special Matchmaking Rate. Commit to a minimum of five meetups with ABA sponsors and pay a discounted fee of $995 ABA member/$2195 nonmember. This rate is available through October 4, 2021.  If you do not complete the five meetings in Tampa, you will be invoiced the balance of the regular attendee registration fee of $1,395/$2,495 (member/nonmember).

How does the Meetup program work?

In late September, we’ll send you a questionnaire that needs to be completed by October 4 to be matched up with five event sponsors. If you miss the deadline, ABA will automatically pair you up.

You’ll select the business channels you’re interested learning more about, or you can favorite a company on the form. Please note, while we will do our best to accommodate your selections, we cannot guarantee you will be matched with your top choices.

How do I know who I will be paired up with?

ABA will send an email the week of October 11 detailing the five companies you have been paired to meet with during the ABA Annual Convention.

Who picks the time we will talk to each other?

ABA has designated specific time on the conference schedule for these meetings. They are tentatively:

  • Monday, October 18th, 9:30 – 10:30 am; 2:45 – 3:45 pm
  • Tuesday, October 19th, 9:30 – 10:30 am

Can I schedule meetings with more than five companies?

Yes, you can do this ahead of time via the questionnaire or on site at the conference.

What if I have a conflict and can no longer attend that time?

You’ll be sent an outlook appointment for the time of your discussion.  You can reply to that email to propose a new time.

What if I do not meet with the five companies I was matched-up with?

ABA will charge you the price difference between the special rate you paid and the standard published registration fee.

Can I meet with companies virtually?

Unfortunately, no. Meetups are only available to attendees joining ABA in Tampa.

Live Plus Five Registration

I’m the live (in person) attendee. What do I need to do next?

Be on the lookout for an email from ABA staff to register your plus five. It will arrive a few days after your live registration is complete. And don’t forget to book your hotel.

How do I sign up for the Meetups?

If you’re joining us in Tampa, you will be signed up for this opportunity automatically.

Can virtual attendees sign up for Meetups?

Unfortunately, no. They’re only open to in-person attendees. However, you’re welcome to schedule one-on-one meetings with any of the sponsors as your calendar permits.

Who do I contact if I don’t receive the email?

Send an email to [email protected]

Can I register additional virtual attendees from my bank?

Yes. They can register at the discounted rate of $495. Please note that all registrants must be from the same institution.

Can I make registrant substitutions?

No need as the virtual content will be available through December 31, 2021, so there is ample time to enjoy the content online.

What if we don’t have anyone from our bank attending? Can a bank register virtual attendees only?

Unfortunately, no. You must have someone attending in person to be eligible for this special offer.

Virtual Platform

When and how can I access the virtual platform?

On October 18, you’ll receive an invite link to the Cvent platform. Please log in with your first and last name and the email address you used to register for the convention. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll receive a verification code via email. Once you enter this code, you will have access to the virtual platform.

What if I don't receive the link?

Contact [email protected] and a member of the ABA team can assist you.

Can I share this link and code with others?

Registrations cannot be shared. The registration link and code provide a single sign-on secure experience.

Will session materials (handouts or PPTs) be made available?

Session materials, if provided by the speaker, will be available on the virtual platform and downloadable once the convention begins. Go to the “All Sessions” tab in the event menu bar, select the desired session and view the session materials located underneath the description.

How long will content be available?

Content will be available for viewing through December 31, 2021.

Am I able or allowed to share downloadable session materials (handouts or PPTs)?

While PPT and supplement materials will be available to download and share with your team through December 31, please note that no platform recordings/sessions of any kind that are accessed can be downloaded (or shared) at any time. This is a single sign-on/no group sharing of content, meaning your registration is just like a conference badge at an in-person event.

What will I experience in the Marketplace?

You can view all exhibit booths and schedule one-on-one video appointments with exhibitors to learn more about their products and services. You can also listen to podcasts view chef demos and check out the amazing prizes we are offering for this year’s event.

Will it be available to those attending live until December 31?

Yes. If you missed a session while in Tampa, you can view them through the end of the year.
