American Bankers Association Certified as a Great Place to Work®

 

WASHINGTON – The American Bankers Association has been certified as a great workplace by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work®, the association announced today. ABA earned this credential based on extensive ratings provided by its employees in anonymous surveys. A summary of these ratings can be found here.

“Our staff is at the heart of ABA’s mission to provide America’s banks with the tools they need to energize the economy and serve their customers and communities,” said Rob Nichols, ABA president and CEO. “ABA employees take pride in their work and value the atmosphere, rewards and challenges associated with being part of our team. This designation will help us retain and attract top talent in the competitive Washington area, which can only further help our members.”

The core competencies on which ABA employees are evaluated emphasize collaboration and teamwork, adaptability, customer service and accountability. The association continues to introduce policies and programs to help balance the needs of its diverse workforce, including flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities for all staff, and benefits to reduce financial burden on commuters, new parents and those managing student loans.

The Great Place to Work® survey concluded that 76 percent of ABA employees believe the association is a great workplace. ABA employees completed 254 surveys, resulting in a 90 percent confidence level and a margin of error of ± 2.68.
