ABA Elects Officers, Board for 2016–2017

 

​WASHINGTON — Members attending the American Bankers Association’s annual convention in Nashville, Tenn., have elected new ABA officers and directors to serve on ABA’s board for the 2016-2017 association year. The new officers are:
  • CHAIRMAN Dorothy A. Savarese, chairman, president and CEO, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, Orleans, Mass.;
  • CHAIRMAN-ELECT:  Kenneth L. Burgess, Jr., chairman, FirstCapital Bank of Texas, NA, Midland, Texas;
  • VICE CHAIRMAN:  Jeffrey M. Szyperski, chairman, president and CEO, Chesapeake Bank, Kilmarnock, Va.; and
  • TREASURER:  George W. Hermann, president and CEO, Windsor Federal Savings, Windsor, Conn.
    Beginning new terms on the ABA board are:
  • Jeffrey K. Ball, president and CEO, Friendly Hills Bank, Whittier, Calif., and vice chairman of the ABA Government Relations Council;
