Bureau to Host Symposium on Dodd-Frank Act Section 1071

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will hold a symposium on Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act, which amended the Equal Credit Opportunity Act to require financial institutions to collect and make publicly available data on credit applications by women-owned, minority-owned and small businesses. The symposium will be held on Nov. 6 at 9:30 a.m. EST and will also be livestreamed on the CFPB website.

The event is the third symposium conducted by the bureau this year as part of an initiative to assist the agency’s policy development process and inform future rulemakings. Previous symposia have addressed Dodd-Frank’s prohibition on abusive acts or practices and behavioral law and economics. Learn more and register.
