ABA Issues Staff Analysis on the Final Rule Increasing the Residential Real Estate Appraisal Threshold

ABA issued a staff analysis on the agencies' final rule to increase the residential real estate appraisal threshold from $250,000 to $400,000. The final rule became effective on Oct. 9, 2019, except for provisions related to appraisal review and the evaluation requirement related to the rural residential exemption, which will become effective Jan. 1, 2020.
