2.18.     Study on the Bankruptcy Process for Large BHCs and Significant Nonbanks.  The Fed, in consultation with the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, is required to conduct a study regarding the resolution of financial companies under the Bankruptcy Code.  The issues to be considered in the study include the effectiveness of Chapters 7 and 11 in facilitating the orderly resolution or  reorganization of Large BHCs and Significant Nonbanks, and whether the Bankruptcy Code should be amended to enhance the ability of the Bankruptcy Code to resolve financial companies.  [§216]
