Summary of the Proposed Rule

In order to implement a comprehensive, long-range management plan for the Deposit Insurance Fund, the FDIC is proposing to amend its regulations to:

  • implement the dividend provisions in the Dodd-Frank Act;
  • set assessment rates; and
  • set the Designated Reserve Ratio for the fund at 2 percent.
