Summary:

*The FTC published comments on a proposed rule to apply to entities under its jurisdiction related to the new section 624 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. That provisions prohibits affiliates from using certain information to make or send marketing solicitations to the consumer without first giving the consumer the opportunity to opt out. The banking agencies will publish their own proposal to apply to banks.
