Corporate Governance/Sarbanes-Oxley Act

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act and its attendant regulations have created compliance challenges for banks both large and small. Chief among those challenges is compliance with the law's Section 404, relating to audit requirements. ABA has raised concerns with regulators about skyrocketing audit costs and sought solutions that could ease the regulatory burden associated with this and other "SOX" provisions.
