Feb. 20-22: Fed’s Bowman, Executives from Top Core Providers to Address Community Bankers at ABA Conference

WASHINGTON —

Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman will address community bankers from across the country at the American Bankers Association’s Conference for Community Bankers, to be held Feb. 20-22 in Palm Desert, Calif. Bowman will deliver remarks on the economic outlook before joining ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols for a wide-ranging conversation on the state of the economy and current banking policy issues. This annual gathering of community bankers provides attendees with an opportunity to discuss important issues facing the nation’s smaller banks, as well as the chance to forge and grow valuable connections with peers across the industry. Nichols’ and Bowman’s remarks and their conversation will be livestreamed here beginning at 11:10 a.m. EST (8:10 a.m. PST) on Feb. 21.

In addition to Gov. Bowman, executives from the nation’s top core processing providers, including Fiserv president and CEO Frank Bisignano, Jack Henry Board Chair and CEO David Foss and FIS Chairman and CEO Gary Norcross, will participate in live discussions on community banking, strategy, innovation, third party integration, conversions and contracts. Bankers in attendance will also have a chance to hear from executives at other core providers, including CEOs from BrightFi, CSI, DCI, SHAZAM, Smiley Technologies, and UFS Tech and senior leaders from Finastra, Finxact, SAP Fioneer, TCS, and Technisys. This first ever in-person event continues ABA’s ongoing efforts to enhance the relationship and dialogue between banks and the core companies that provide the backbone of their business operations.

The Conference for Community Bankers speaker lineup also includes Jacob Morgan, a bestselling author, keynote speaker, and futurist who explores leadership, employee experience and the future of work; Elliot Eisenberg, Ph.D., an internationally acclaimed economist; and J.R. Martinez, a New York Times best-selling author, U.S. Army veteran and motivational speaker.

“This year’s Conference for Community Bankers provides attendees with the opportunity to gain new insights and groundbreaking ways to grow their businesses while helping their communities thrive,” Nichols said. “The exceptional line-up of speakers and educational sessions on leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion, operations and finance, technology and innovation, CRE lending, and payments will offer attendees essential insights and solutions on critical issues affecting community bankers.”
