CFPB’s Kraninger to Address Bank Compliance Officers at ABA Regulatory Compliance Conference

CFPB Director Kathy Kraninger will keynote the American Bankers Association annual Regulatory Compliance Conference on June 11 in New Orleans. The conference, which is nationally recognized for its unmatched scope and scale in covering key bank regulatory issues in the areas of consumer protection, lending compliance, risk management and financial crimes, will be held June 9-12 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

During the four-day event, attendees will hear directly from Director Kraninger, as well as other top compliance experts and senior regulatory officials.

“This conference is a one-stop shop to discuss today’s—and tomorrow’s—most pressing issues in compliance with the nation’s top risk-based thinkers,” said Virginia O’Neill, ABA’s executive vice president for regulatory compliance and policy. “Compliance professionals from across the banking industry will have the opportunity to learn from each other and compare notes, while also hearing directly from bank regulators.”

The conference is the only one of its kind, because it’s designed by bankers for bankers and will feature more than 45 unique sessions including:

  • Demystifying AI and Robotics;
  • Technology Advancements in Payments and Their Compliance Risks;
  • Banking a Marijuana or CBD Business;
  • Elder Financial Abuse; and
  • A Banker's Guide to New HMDA Data.

Sessions will also cover a wide range of areas including balancing product development and compliance, testing of monitoring and controls, third party risk management, complaint management and digital marketing compliance.

A full-day workshop will be offered before the conference on June 8 to provide an in-depth focused learning experience. The ABA Fair and Responsible Lending Workshop, designed for seasoned professionals, will cover key exam trends, regulatory expectations and enforcement action response trends.

Most sessions qualify for CRCM and CPE continuing education credits. For information or to register, visit aba.com/RCC or call ABA’s Member Service Center at 1-800-BANKERS.
