ABA Joins State Bankers Associations in Releasing New Ads Thanking Representatives Lou Correa and Brian Fitzpatrick

WASHINGTON —

The American Bankers Association joined the California Bankers Association today in releasing a new ad thanking Representative Lou Correa (D-Calif.) for working to help small businesses affected by the pandemic, including making loans available to veteran-owned small businesses. In addition, ABA joined the Pennsylvania Bankers Association in launching a new ad thanking Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Penn.) for helping to halt efforts to task the IRS with collecting sensitive and personal financial information on nearly every American.

“Representatives Correa and Fitzpatrick have a history of working across the aisle to help their communities succeed,” said ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols. “We appreciate their leadership on these critically important policy issues that helped small businesses and protected consumer privacy.”

"We're grateful for the opportunity to join ABA in launching this ad thanking Representative Fitzpatrick for his efforts to successfully halt an unnecessary and intrusive IRS reporting proposal," said Duncan Campbell, president and CEO of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association. "We appreciate his efforts to stand up for Pennsylvanians’ privacy and freedom."

“We are pleased to join ABA in releasing this ad thanking Representative Correa for his work with veterans in Orange County to support their small businesses,” said Steve Andrews, president and CEO of the California Bankers Association. “We appreciate his continued effort to find bipartisan solutions that support job creation and make our neighborhoods stronger.”

The voter education campaigns will begin airing in California and Pennsylvania as soon as today. Click here to see the ads.
