ABA Joins State Bankers Associations in Releasing New Ads Encouraging Representatives Jaime Herrera Beutler and Peter Meijer to Keep Fighting for Families and Small Businesses

WASHINGTON —

The American Bankers Association joined the Washington Bankers Association in releasing a new ad today encouraging Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.) to continue her efforts to reduce taxes on families and small businesses. In addition, ABA joined the Michigan Bankers Association in launching a new ad encouraging Representative Peter Meijer (R-Mich.) to continue working to ensure banks can support local families and small businesses.

“We appreciate Representatives Herrera Beutler and Meijer’s strong support for policies that promote economic growth,” said ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols. “Their important efforts have helped ensure small businesses and communities can thrive.”

"We're pleased to join ABA in launching this ad thanking Representative Herrera Beutler for reducing the tax burden on small businesses while pursuing greater investments in our neighborhoods," said Glen Simecek, president and CEO of the Washington Bankers Association. "We appreciate Representative Herrera Beutler’s efforts to make our communities stronger.”
