WASHINGTON —

The American Bankers Association Foundation is hosting a social media contest to allow viewers nationwide to vote for their favorite Lights, Camera, Save! video entry.

Lights, Camera, Save! is an annual video contest that encourages teen participants to produce a short film that communicates the importance of sound money management. This year, 142 banks hosted 163 contests in 46 states as a part of Lights, Camera, Save!

The “Savers’ Choice” social media contest features the top five finalists, and will take place on ABA’s Facebook page through 12 p.m. ET on Wed., Feb. 19. The video producer with the most votes will receive a GoPro camera to encourage future filmmaking.

This year’s finalists are:

“Now in its fourth year, ‘Savers’ Choice’ has become a fantastic vehicle for showcasing the hard work and creativity of these students,” said Corey Carlisle, executive director of the ABA Foundation. “Our goal is to share the message of sound money management with as many teens as possible, and leveraging social media allows us to do just that.”

The winner of the “Savers’ Choice” will also be in the running for Lights, Camera, Save! cash prizes up to $5,000, plus a scholarship for a teacher at their school to attend the 2020 Jump$tart National Educator Conference. Lights, Camera, Save! winners will be named by a panel of expert judges on Feb. 26.

This year, Lights, Camera, Save! is sponsored by Banzai, a free, online financial literacy platform for students of all ages that merges classroom learning with real-world experience.
