ABA and the Kentucky Bankers Association Release New Ads Thanking Rep. Andy Barr

WASHINGTON —

The American Bankers Association joined the Kentucky Bankers Association today in releasing new ads thanking Representative Andy Barr for stepping up and making sure that small businesses and their employees received economic relief during the pandemic.

“Andy Barr made sure Kentucky small businesses affected by COVID-19 could keep paying their employees through his support of the CARES Act,” said ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols. “Congressman Barr helped save millions of jobs through the Paycheck Protection Program, and now he is pushing for legislation to make it easier for struggling small businesses to get their PPP loans forgiven.”

"Andy Barr’s support for the PPP helped 50,000 Kentucky small businesses keep the lights on and continue to pay their 600,000 employees,” said Ballard W. Cassady, Jr., president and CEO of the Kentucky Bankers Association. “He helped our economy go from surviving to recovering, and he continues to support further relief for small businesses and the communities they serve.”

The voter education campaign will begin airing in Kentucky as soon as today. Click here to see the ads.
