At the request of the Kentucky Bankers Association, the ABA Foundation is currently soliciting donations from across the country to help with relief efforts in the wake of the devastating storms and tornadoes that recently struck the commonwealth. One hundred percent of the funds raised through ABA Foundation’s Disaster Relief Program will go to the Kentucky Bankers Relief Fund to support fellow bankers directly affected by the tornadoes and other local relief efforts. While we specifically encourage members of the banking industry to contribute to this worthy effort, we invite anyone to donate here. Donations will be accepted until Jan. 25, 2022, and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
The ABA Foundation Disaster Relief Program allows state bankers associations to request disaster relief fundraising for their specific state through the ABA Foundation, in the event of a presidentially declared disaster and when other specific criteria are met. When a request is made, the state bankers association designates a 501(c)(3) organization(s) that provides generalized relief to receive the collected funds. The ABA Foundation does not use disaster relief funds to pay any of the costs to administer this program.
