Tis the Season Food Drive

The Tri Counties Bank annual Tis the Season food drive is in its 16th year and serves communities in our footprint throughout Northern and Central California. The drive is held in November and December and directly supports The Salvation Army. Each year, Salvation Army red barrels are placed in all 70+ Tri Counties Bank branches (from Bakersfield to Crescent City). Customers and the general public are urged to contribute in-person at branches, online, or during collection events, and the drives are publicized by Tri Counties Bank in digital media, as well as TV and radio. During collection events, bank staff and volunteers accept bags of non-perishable food from donors.

In the past 5 years alone, the drive has successfully collected more than 200,000 pounds of food to The Salvation Army, which helps to feed hungry families throughout the year. All food donated is distributed locally to the Salvation Army in each city or county where the food was donated. Monetary donations are directed to The Salvation Army Corps closest to the zip code of the donor to ensure it stays local. In 2021, the drive collected almost 50,000 pounds of food and over 110 volunteers assisted with eight collection events throughout the Bank's footprint.
