Tasked with promoting and facilitating public awareness and execution of original and existing programs designed to bring awareness and highlight current financial issues surrounding the elderly population, Senior Champions are named in each office of Bank of the Rockies. Individuals named as Senior Champions are well versed in elder fraud and exploitation red flag warning signs, how and where to report suspected cases, and are frequently briefed on news regarding frauds and scams that target the elderly. Senior Champions lead their office and community outreach in elder fraud issues within their office's community. They are the face of elder fraud prevention and education in their communities. Senior Champions are responsible for keeping up to date on elder fraud and exploitation issues, performing duties requested of them in terms of community outreach, and attending elder issues specific training. Additionally, tasked with brainstorming ideas for outreach efforts, these individuals have a knack for thinking out of the box and engaging other elder justice stakeholders and community members.
