Village Bank - Blaine, Minnesota

2021 Community Commitment Awards Submission

  • Entry Category: Community and Economic Development
  • Asset Size: Small

Last year was a challenge for the communities that we serve. Village Bank knew we had to help our Village and community members to #End2020Well.

Our Villagers (team members) created a program that could directly impact our community by empowering our team with funds and resources to benefit other community members. We supported many of our local community partners by purchasing items through them to donate. Also, we helped community partners keep their doors open for the long haul and provided a dose of hope through advertising their missions within the #End2020Well initiative. With approximately 320 hours donated to our community, we are proud of the impact our Villagers made.

This mission provided support for families dealing with loss, cancer, violence, hunger and many other difficult situations in our community. These funds also provided scholarships and helped local students purchase the tools needed for their career.

Our mission to #End2020Well was to take back control, support those around us, and inspire others to do the same into 2021. Giving back helps make our community better and better, and we all have ownership to bring our sense of community into 2021. With that, we have released another initiative piggybacking off this success called #STRONG21.

This initiative discusses how local businesses are having strong 2021’s in business and how we can support other local companies to have a strong 2021. After spending last year in survival mode, Village Bank wants to help local entrepreneurs and business owners THRIVE in 2021. Through advertising exposure, financial services, and donations made on behalf of #STRONG21 businesses, we are determined to help local businesses have their best year yet.
