As a community bank, we believe in giving back to our community and putting our communities first - it has been FirstCapital Bank of Texas' (FCB) goal since we first opened our doors in 1998. It's important to us that employees understand from their first day how important it is to be involved within our communities. Which is why we formed the Community Impact Initiative program in 2016. Through this bank-wide program, each employee is given on their first day after arriving at New Employee Orientation. These funds are to be used to help benefit any local nonprofit organization of the employee's choosing. Each new employee can participate in this program from across any of the markets that we serve: Amarillo, Dallas, Hill Country, Lubbock, Midland, and Wichita Falls. We encourage team members to spend their donations on an organization that they are passionate about within the community. FCB's only requirement is that the organization be a nonprofit. Once an organization is selected, the team member can then purchase supplies for their chosen organization. Often, employees give more to the organization by using their own funds to purchase additional items for the organization. In the past, employees have purchased pet food for animal shelters, food for local food kitchens, and school supplies for children in need. After team members have purchased their items to donate, they personally deliver the items to the organization.
