  • Entry Category: Community & Economic Development

In 1892 Orange Bank and Trust Company, then known as Orange County Trust and Safe Deposit Company, opened its doors for business. Our founders understood then, that the bank's success would be tied to the financial success of the individuals and businesses we served. They also recognized that delivering long-term value would require an unwavering commitment to quality service through enduring relationships with our customers. That vision has served our bank well. Today, we the largest bank headquartered in Orange County—operating 13 branches and employing nearly 200 people in three counties in New York's Hudson Valley Region. A community bank like ours is however, more than just a collection of buildings that houses money. We are an economic backbone in the communities we serve with a responsibility to help our neighbors build strong, united, stable communities with good quality of life. It's why from the beginning, through our annual Community Giving and Volunteer Program we support organizations in our bank's footprint that help improve the economic and cultural vibrancies of their communities.
