In 2021, Bay State Savings Bank’s Marketing Department launched the #CasualforaCause campaign which encourages Bay State staff, board members, and corporators to donate to a local nonprofit (in exchange, employees who donate are allowed to dress casually on Fridays). A new nonprofit is designated by Bay State each month, strategically based on when organizations are observing cultural events or campaigns in their calendar year. Six months into 2021, the #CasualforaCause campaign, spearheaded by Marketing Coordinator Ariana Dello Stritto, has raised over ,000 for organizations including Girls Inc. of Worcester (for National Mentoring Month in January), American Heart Association (for Heart Month in February), YWCA of Central Massachusetts (for Gender Equality Month in March), Tower Hill Botanic Garden (for Earth Day in April), ALS Association MA Chapter (for ALS Awareness Month in May), and Safe Home (PRIDE month in June).
