What Exactly are Payments and Why Do I Need a Payments Strategy?

Wednesday, June 26, 2019 • 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. ET

2.0 CRCM, 2.0 CFMP

“Payments” can mean different things to different people. This webinar will break it down in a meaningful way with a detailed overview of payments systems and delivery channels (traditional, card-based, and digital). You’ll explore consumer-to-business, consumer-to-consumer and business-to-business payment streams and look at banks’ rapidly changing payment options.

In just 90 minutes you’ll get the low-down on the strategic importance of payments for smaller banks and learn what a payment strategy looks like and why it’s designed the way it is. You’ll learn how consumers and businesses think about payments and payment providers, as well as their preferred payment options. Your instructor will also discuss the importance of identity and security when it comes to payment choices.

Payments expert, Jeff Slawsky, will look at various delivery models for community banks, including direct card issuance (debit & credit), agent bank programs (credit), e-wallet participation (Apple Pay, PayPal, Zelle, etc.) and other in-app payments. So register today and get the background you’ll need to take the next step in your payments strategy.
