The only national program of its kind, the ABA Advanced Commercial Lending School offers unique access to nationally-known instructors, and a network of industry peers based all across the country.  The School explores the challenges and issues you face daily.

  • Gain an understanding of the leadership motives that drive a bank's lending strategy

Course Highlights

The Business Lending Leadership course is designed to develop or enhance leadership skills and address the broad list of responsibilities necessary to effectively supervise this business line. Specific training is provided on how to oversee all of the activities necessary to originate, analyze, underwrite, process, close, service and collect business loans. Topics covered include:

  • Sales - meeting budget goals while maintaining quality standards
  • Administration - exploration of the attention needed to perform critical tasks
  • Performance Standards - effective delegation of tasks to achieve results
  • Ethical Leadership - creating expectations, transparency, and trust
  • Managing People - effective leadership in today's environment.
