Founder of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media

Few have achieved such remarkable success in as many different fields as Geena Davis has: she is not only an Oscar and Golden Globe winning actor, but a world-class athlete, a member of the genius society Mensa, and is now recognized for her tireless advocacy of women and girls. She is the Founder and Chair of the non-profit Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, which engages film and television creators to dramatically increase the percentages of female characters — and reduce gender stereotyping — in media made for children 11 and under.

When Tom Ricketts and his family were introduced as the new owners of the Chicago Cubs in 2009, he outlined three goals for the organization: win the World Series; preserve and improve Wrigley Field for future generations; and to be good neighbors, giving back to the city and the team’s North Side neighborhood. The Chicago Cubs won the 2016 World Series and were named by Baseball America as the 2016 Organization of the Year. In 2010, Ricketts was named Ernst & Young’s Midwest Finance Entrepreneur of the Year for his work with Incapital LLC and has been named as one the 40 most influential leaders in electronic finance by Institutional Investor magazine.

A frequent commentator on major news outlets and in top publications, Hayden’s recent memoir, Playing to the Edge: American Intelligence in the Age of Terror, was a New York Times best-seller, and selected as one of the 100 most notable books of 2016.
