ABA Model Risk Management Workshop for Bank Risk Managers

March 17, 2018 • Hyatt Regency Orlando • Orlando, FL
Pre-conference optional workshop of the ABA Risk Management Conference

Risk Management Conference Overview  | Workshop Overview | Workshop Program | Workshop Continuing Education Credits

While many model risk management programs are mature, for those banks crossing over $10B, meeting the supervisory expectations for DFAST stress testing is a whole new ballgame. And banks below $10B are seeing increased scrutiny of their model risk programs – especially considering the new FDIC supervisory guidance for community banks.

Just one day is all you need to benchmark your program against established practices and regulatory expectations for banks of your size.

Designed for managers directly or indirectly responsible for model risk management in community and DFAST banks. Participants will gain from in-depth and focused interactive dialogue with national experts and seasoned industry practitioners.

The workshop will provide attendees with an understanding of the components of a strong model risk management program.

Expect discussions on:
  • model risk governance structure and culture;
  • model inventory management;
  • lifecycle of a model (roles and responsibilities, dispute resolution, documentation); and
  • ongoing monitoring and the fundamentals of validations for internal and vendor models – with a case study.

The workshop is separately priced from the ABA Risk Management Conference and you must register for this event separately from the Conference.
