ABA’s HSA Council Applauds Introduction of Health Savings for Seniors Act

By Kevin McKechnie, executive director of ABA’s HSA Council

“We applaud members of the U.S. House of Representatives for introducing H.R. 3796, the Health Savings for Seniors Act, which will help relieve the burden of rising out-of-pocket expenses for seniors on Medicare.  We are particularly pleased that lawmakers worked together to draft sensible legislation that will lead to quality, affordable health care for seniors while also keeping the decision-making power in the hands of doctors and patients.

“We especially want to thank Representatives Ami Bera (D-CA) and Jason Smith (R-MO) for recognizing that health care is the top issue for voters in America. This bipartisan legislation provides an important and meaningful solution for Americans across the country."
