BAFT Announces Future Leaders Program Class of 2017

WASHINGTON – BAFT, an international financial services association, announced today its Future Leaders program class of 2017. The Future Leaders program – now in its second year – recognizes future leaders in the transaction banking industry.
The class of 2017 includes 31 individuals from 12 countries and a variety of disciplines within transaction banking, nominated by their respective institutions. This year’s group will collaborate to address issues such as client onboarding, de-risking, fintech and transaction banking training.
“Last year, we launched this program to identify and develop the next generation of leadership in transaction banking,” said Tod Burwell, president and CEO of BAFT. “The program was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the participants, their sponsoring institutions and our broader membership. This year, we have expanded the program and will have four project teams addressing current industry issues with a fresh perspective from the next generation of industry leaders.”
The class of 2017 will begin the program at the annual BAFT Europe Forum in Madrid and will conclude at the BAFT Global Annual Meeting in Florida in May.  Several class of 2016 graduates will support the current class as mentors, joining BAFT board members who will again serve as project sponsors.
