Producer Licensing Modernization

Currently, insurance agents and brokers must meet licensing requirements in any state in which they sell insurance, and those requirements can vary from state to state. This multi-state licensing process can be time consuming and costly to insurance producers and ultimately to consumers.

ABA's Position

ABA supports the enactment of federal legislation to permit use of home-state license in other states, the National Association of Registered Agents and Brokers Act of 2013 (NARAB II).
