CUSIP Securities Identification
This CUSIP system was developed by the American Bankers Association's (ABA) "Committee on Uniform Security Identification Procedures". The ABA was charged with the responsibility of developing, enhancing, and maintaining the system and policies necessary for uniform securities identification. ABA established the CUSIP Agency comprised of the CUSIP Board of Trustees and the CUSIP Service Bureau.
The CUSIP Service Bureau (CSB) is dedicated to driving efficient trading, clearing and settlement in capital markets throughout the world. By providing a unique common language for identifying financial instruments across institutions, exchanges and nations, financial services firms benefit from improved operating efficiencies and substantially reduced administrative costs.
With nearly 40 years in the securities identification business, CSB is operated for the American Bankers Association by Standard & Poor's. These leading organizations are focused on promoting strength and profitability of the financial services industry worldwide.

- CUSIP - Universally recognized identifier for financial instruments (CUSIPs are 9-character identifiers that capture an issue's important differentiating characteristics within a common structure)
- CINS- CUSIP International Numbering System
- CSB ISIN - Participation in the assignment of CUSIP-based International Securities Identification Numbers
