Member CE Review
ICB members who attend training programs that have not been approved for continuing education credit by the ICB can determine the number of credits they may claim in one of two ways:
1. Independent Review
Formal training programs that directly relate to the ICB examination outlines are eligible for CE credits. ICB members may compare the course content to the examination outline(s) and claim 1.0 credit for every 50 minutes of relevant instruction.
Credits that do not end on a quarter hour should be rounded to the nearest quarter. For example:
A 90-minute Anti-Money Laundering Course = 1.8 credits, rounded to the nearest quarter = 2.0 CRCM/CFSSP Credits
Breaks, mealtimes, networking opportunities and non-relevant sessions should not be claimed for CE credit.
2. CE Member Review Request Form
ICB members may submit the course to ICB for CE credit review independently. To do so, complete the Member CE Review Request Form, (see below). Please attach a timed agenda of the program along with speaker bios and fax or mail it to ICB at the phone OR mailing address indicated on page two of the application.
We will review the program to determine its relevance and calculate the credits accordingly.
There is no charge for the review; however, there is a 6-week review period for this option. Once a decision is reached, you will be notified via email.
The Member Continuing Education Review Request Form is available in two formats:
Word 2007 Version or PDF Form Version.
Members are prohibited from using these approvals in promotional materials.
CE Filing Instructions for the ICB Member Attendees
ICB members are required to submit a specific number of continuing education credits every three years. However, they are encouraged to submit at least once a year to prevent becoming behind in their requirements. To report CE credits, ICB members should:
1. Go to www.icbmembers.org
2. Log in using your Member ID and password.
3. Go to "Submit Continuing Education Credits."
4. Follow instructions to submit CE credits
